Movement Project

The project became a study in how motion can communicate feeling without performance. Instead of choreographed poses, the emphasis was on presence: how someone inhabits a space, how they breathe within it, how the environment shapes their energy. The result is a series that feels grounded, gentle and observational, blending fashion, portraiture and nature in a way that aligns with my wider interest in emotional, sensory storytelling.

Exploring the relationship between the body and the natural environment, focusing on quiet gestures, subtle motion and the emotional space that exists between stillness and movement. Working outdoors allowed intuitive movement, responding to texture, light and landscape in a way that felt unforced and honest.

my role

This was a self‑led project where I developed the concept independently, shaping the narrative around atmosphere, nature and emotional connection. I collaborated with my sister, who photographed the project, while I directed the visual approach and guided composition, movement and tone to ensure the images reflected the feeling I wanted to capture. I also modelled in the shoot, using gesture and interaction with the environment to bring the concept to life. This project represents my ability to lead an idea from concept to execution, work collaboratively with a photographer, and create imagery that feels intuitive, warm and grounded in lived experience.
